Güiza is a vocal, guitar, and bass trio hailing from Charlottetown PEI. The group consists of; vocalist Luisa F. Güiza, guitarist Matthew Kays, and bassist Chris Gardiner.

As Güiza, we are able to carve out our own unique and versatile style, that combines sounds of latin pop, 70s disco and funk, 90s house music, and 2000s-2010s pop hits. One of the most unique aspects of our sound is the inclusion of a drum machine, rather than a traditional live drummer; this has allowed us to use certain textures that otherwise would not be achievable with organic instruments, and it is a huge contributing factor in the energy that we are now known for at our live shows. This combined with our tight guitar and bass grooves, and powerful vocals sung in both Spanish and English have proven successful in allowing us to make a name for ourselves in the local scene, where we have become a hot commodity.

Through their use of a drum machine Güiza is able to carve out a unique and versatile style for themselves, which combines sounds of Latin pop, 70s disco and funk, 90s house, and 2000-2010 pop hits.
